Store Data via Shopify OAuth: When you install ReUpSEO, we receive your Shopify store domain and access token, which we use to read and write product data on your behalf. We store a session record containing your shop domain, access token, and basic metadata.

Usage Data: We track usage counts (image optimizations, health scans, meta fixes) per store for billing and quota management. This data is stored in our database and reset monthly.

IP Address: When you accept our Terms of Service, we record the IP address of the accepting request solely for compliance and legal record-keeping.

Product Content: To perform SEO analysis and generate suggestions, we temporarily process product titles, descriptions, images, and metadata from your Shopify store. This content is not permanently stored beyond what is needed to display results to you.

• To authenticate and maintain your session with the Shopify embedded app
• To provide SEO analysis, image optimization, and AI-generated content suggestions
• To track usage against your plan's monthly limits
• To process billing through Shopify's billing API
• To maintain compliance records (terms acceptance)
• To improve and debug the Service

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

• Shopify: As required to operate a Shopify embedded app, we interact with Shopify's APIs under their Partner Agreement.
• AI Service Providers: Product content may be sent to third-party AI APIs (e.g., for alt text or meta description generation). These providers process data under their own privacy policies and are not permitted to retain or train on your data.
• Infrastructure Providers: We use Google Cloud and Supabase for hosting and database services. Data is stored on servers which may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this cross-border transfer of your data.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We retain your session and usage data for as long as you have the app installed. When you uninstall ReUpSEO, we receive an app/uninstalled webhook and delete your session data within 30 days. Terms acceptance records are retained for 7 years for legal compliance purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access-controlled databases, and secure credential storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (by uninstalling the app and contacting us)
• Object to certain processing of your data

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Australian users may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

The ReUpSEO Shopify app operates as an embedded app within Shopify Admin and does not use tracking cookies. Our website (reupseo.com) may use minimal session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
